October Beauty Favorites 2012

Another month came to an end! Another time that I couldn't make a video about my Monthly favorites, so here I am blogging about it! After a lot of thinking I decided to include the most used products of this October.

The list includes:
  • Precious Mineral Bright Fit BB cream by Etude House
  • Persephone Body Milk by Fresh Line
  • Dear My Milky Gloss MBE102 by Etude House
  • Jewel-Light Waterproof eyeliner 01 by Holika Holika
  • Line Nuance Duo 5 by Etude House
  • Skin mal:gem Fresh Toner by Etude House
  • Face Color 16 by Paul & Joe
1. Jewel-light 01 2. Line nuance Duo #5 3. MBE102 Milky Gloss 4. Face color 16

Precious Mineral Bright Fit BB cream by Etude House: Not too matte but not too glossy finish. It's something in the middle and I love that very very much. Medium to high coverage (very good for BB cream) and it doesn't have a sticky feeling that some say about BB creams. I decided to include this because I'm almost out and I'm not gonna take it with me to the new house because I  have so many things to move from Greece to the UK after all. I'll probably repurchase it but I'm thinking of trying the Sun BB cream by Etude House.

Persephone Body Milk by Fresh Line: I was looking for a pure body milk because Autumn made my skin dry. I'm happy that I discovered this body milk because it does its job very well. It's pink includes Ylang-Ylang and Jasmine Aroma/Scent. I must say the scent is very strong and it reminds me of Paganistic rituals! But more something like Wicca. It's weird eh? Like a Wicca ritual for spring even though I never attended one lol. Nor I'm a wicca but I did a lot of research about them when I was a teenager.

Dear My Milky Gloss shade MBE102 by Etude House: I'm so in love with this lipgloss! It gives me a natural colour on the lips but also makes them look very creamy like Caramel Cream. I think this is the best nude lipgloss I've ever tried. It can be worn by itself because of the pigment. It leaves a sticky feeling at the beggining but it stops being sticky after a few minutes. No glitter, no shimmer just what I like on lipgloss! It has a soft scent, something between fruit and candy. I can't tell exactly! But I like it cause it's soft.

Skin mal:gem Fresh Toner by Etude House: My face got into a big shock of dryness after Autumn arrived! I had to use whatever moisturizer came across, good thing I  had a lot of samples because Be Clear Moisturizer and Super Aqua creams weren't enough. Most of my products are for oily/combo skin type. I have oily T-Line and the rest normal. But I needed high moisture all of the sudden. So I picked to use this toner two times per day instead of using the Pore ever freshner in the mornings because Skin mal:gem Fresh gives more moisture to the skin. Cleanses deeper and gives a fresh feeling. I really loved this, I almost finished it!

1. Jewel-light Waterproof Eyeliner 01 by Holika Holika  2. Line Nuance Duo #5 by Etude House
Jewel-light Waterproof Eyeliner 01 by Holika Holika: Your average creamy black eyeliner but it's waterproof. Easy to apply if nothing is worn as a base. I also made a video review about this on youtube.

Line Nuance Duo #5 by Etude House: I actually used the silver glittery side of this. It's a powder silvery eyeshadow on the other end of the pencil. I used it on the inner half of my bottom eyelash line. I wanted to give my eyes a K-pop look!

Face Color 16 by Paul & Joe: And last but not least, my all-time favorite blush. Shimmery and semi-creamy powder blush. It has pinkish peach blush on one side and shimmery soft bronzer on the other. You can use them separately but I like to mix them to get a natural peachy colour! I like the shimmer in blushers. High pigment but not like water colour blush... You know sometimes you get high pigmented blushes that leave stains on your face like you applied water colours.. This blush isn't like that but it maintains a high pigment at the same time.

Soo these are my favorites for October 2012 - I hope you like my post!
Thank you for reading and feel free to comment your beauty favorites below!

|Missha| Super Aqua - Water Supply Cream |Review| Updated!

Hi everyone! So this is Super Aqua face cream by Missha. I decided to try this because it has no oils in the ingredients (or I thought so) and I needed a moisturizer that doesn't end up oiling my face. My face is oily combo and tends to  need extra moisture during the winter. This water supply cream that contains Crystal water 10% looked promising even though people prefer Aqua creams during the Summer.

After a couple of uses I thought it broke me out but I was wrong. I guess it was something else! EDIT: I'm pretty positive that it does break me out! I thought it was something else but I was wrong! Sorry guys ^^;. I continued using it and everything went fine. I'm using this for the past three weeks on my evening skin care routine.

It gives me a nice feeling of freshness but the texture feels a little bit silicony. It doesn't seem like my skin absorbs this cream fast. Like the directions say I have to pat it lightly until absorption. After a few minutes my face feel moisturized and fresh. The next day my T-Line is bit a oily though. That's not a problem because I wash my face every morning anyway! I used this as my day cream and it didn't make my skin oily.

I used this as my base to my foundation which is oil-based and it was a disaster. I touched my face and the foundation and concealer came off. That happened because having a water-based cream as a base to your oil-based foundation or vice versa it wouldn't lock your foundation on because of the ingredients difference. So the secret for a long lasting foundation/BB cream is using a base that is the same kind with each other. The same goes for the sunblock cream.

I like how this cream's colour is soft turquoise! Very very soft whitey turquoise though. The scent is soft and it reminds me of baby bath or baby powder. The container is matte thick glass and the lid is plastic. It's 50ml, that's great because I want to take it with me on my flight. Always remember to moisture your skin during flights because the air in there is super duper dry.

I generally like this cream and I'm satisfied but I would prefer a cream more absorbing with lighter consistency like other water based creams I've tried.

My rating:
This product is okay but I wouldn't repurchase.

|Holika Holika| Heart Ful Moisture Lipstick Baby Beige Review

Hi Ladies~! Another lip product review! I think this is the last for now unless I'm forgetting something!
This time I want to show you something by Holika Holika. It's the Heart Ful Moisture lipstick in shade BG401 a.k.a Baby Beige. BG stands for beige. The colour of the lipstick in the retail picture looks more like beigey mauve. But it looks totally different in real life.

The chart with all colors. BG401 color is the first one. It looks different on the picture! When I saw it the first time I thought there was something wrong. But that's just bad photography I guess.

I like how shiny and smooth is the finish on my lips. But I'm not very happy about the shade. Also is not very pigmented.

The packaging is pink with cute white pattern and metallic finish which I love. The size is a little bit smaller than the Etude lipsticks.

I like the heart shape of the stick. It's a cute feature!

Description on box: Lovely heart-shaped moisture & high color formation lipstick which is smoothly and easily applied as melted on lips. With its vivid color and soft fit reflection effect, this moisture lipstick is applied easily and colored clearly as melted on lips. Furthermore, a high moisture essential oil complex (sweet orange oil, grapefruit oil, olive oil) is included, protecting lips with full moisture.

Moisturizing - Yes
Vivid Color - No (at least not this shade)

The scent is artificial cherry which makes me sick. I had this since I was a kid. It's like my system can't tolerate artificial cherry smell. I get sweaty and my stomach hurts when I sniff it. Unfortunately... But I can't smell it while it's on my lips!

Pretty natural colour for every day use. I'm guessing perfect for school. I overall like this lipstick and I would wear it to go out for shopping, work and for lunch but not really for going out during the night.

My Rating:

So that's all with the review! I wanted to say if you have any products in mind that you would like me to review feel free to post your suggestions as comments. I'd be more than happy to read them and if the product would work for my skin type I would do my best to get my hands on it and try it in the future!

Thank you for reading!
* I forgot to say that it has a little bit of sparkle in it. Tiny glitter than you can barely notice!

|Etude House| Real Art Cleansing Oil Fresh Review

I really needed a cleansing oil to remove waterproof eyeliner and mascara! So I thought I'd purchase this Etude Cleansing oil Fresh (for oily skin) because I love Etude House is my favorite brand! Why would I give my money to L'oreal for cleansing oil (which I consume a bottle almost every month!) and I wanted to stop using cotton pads as well.

It states that it removes waterproof eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, BB cream and eye brow powder. The consistency is thick so it's kinda hard for the oil to go between my eyelashes and remove the mascara...

It also warns you to avoid contact with eyes. How can you remove your eyeliner and mascara with oil without having to touch your eyes? I rubbed the oil on my eyes anyway. Good thing they didn't get irritated!

It removed my waterproof eyeliner with success. It didn't remove my waterproof mascara which is by Etude as well. It didn't totally remove the Dream On foundation but it removed the precious mineral BB cream by Etude House. Not being able to remove my mascara was a huge fail for me. I had to rub my eyelashes with my thumb an finger and got some mascara off but not all of it. Really hard to try to get the thick oil between your eyelashes. At least L'oreal's cleansing oil is very thin and watery and can go anywhere lol.

I did exactly what the instructions said. I also had to rinse then dry and then rub my face with the oil for the second time for the BB cream and eyeliner to get totally removed.

Bottom line: This product isn't working for me and I'm not sure if I'm gonna use it again. I'm not gonna repurchase either. I usually like Etude House products. This one is one of the few that didn't work for me. That's a shame!

My Rating:
But it's alright, Etude House is a good brand! There is always some products that don't work very well as we expected!

Thank you for reading (^_^) Ah, and please comment below if you ever tried this product and if it worked for you well!

|Etude House| Fresh Cherry Tint PK001 Cherry Pink Review

Another lip product review! I recently noticed that I have more lip products than eye shadows and blushes... Weird? I thought I had obsession with eye shadows but turns out I've been collecting lots of lip products without even thinking... The bad thing is that they don't really last long!

So today I decided to review the Fresh Cherry Tint in Cherry Pink by Etude. It's a tint that moisturizes and gives a natural pink colour to the lips. I absolutely love! It's actually the new version of the old Pink Cherry Tint which I'm sure everybody loved! This one is even better!

Magic pink brush I would call it! It looks a very nice bright pastel pink on the brush and swatch but it looks soft pink on the lips without making the lips look pale and unhealthy! You can also use it as a blush. On lips prior lip gloss or by itself. I would recommend this to school girls as well!

Even though its name is Cherry Tint it really smells like Strawberries to me! Like a strawberry chewing gum. Lovely smell (^_^)!

The best thing about this tint is that it doesn't make my lips go dry if I don't coat it with anything else like the old Cherry Tint does.

My Rating:

There are also three more shades that I'm looking forward to try them but I wouldn't change anything about this one! I like it very much :)

Have you tried any other colour of this tint? Does it smells like strawberries to you?

|Etude House| Happy Fresh Foam Witch Hazel Review

Happy to write this review like this Happy fresh foam! Hehe~!
Happy Fresh Foam comes in different variations for different skin types. Today I'm going to review the Witch Hazel one.

This facial cleanser is for Oily/Combination with Black Heads! There is another version of this for just oily/combo skin type called White Clay. I  have huge pore problem on my face so I went for Witch Hazel.

This product is amazing! I use it every morning. It deep cleanses my face and especially pores. I wouldn't say it's good for removing makeup though. Every time I use it my pores get cleaned but get clogged up after a couple of minutes. This foam cleanser has helped my pores to become smaller. I believe that if I keep using it I would be able to get rid of my pores eventually. I use the Wonder Pore Freshner as a toner after I wash my face with this one.

The 30% on the front means that is formulated with 10% sebum absorbers and 20% moisturizers. I'm not sure why they combined it to 30% though  lol.

Directions as listed on the product: Wet face. Squeeze small amount into palm and rub hands together to form lather. Massage over face avoiding the eye area, then rinse thoroughly.

It only takes a small amount of the product because it seems like it's compressed paste that turns into foam with water and rubbing. So it's a great value, it's going to last me for a long time in my opinion. I have tried with bigger amount of the cleanser and my skin felt a little irritated. Just a little bit is enough.

Something I must not forget to write here is... it contains a few micro beads like the ones you find in peelings! So yay for the light peel while cleansing! I'm super happy about this feature. I think it really makes a difference! They are spread here and there so they are not hard on your skin. Please note that this cleanser is very strong like the Baking Powder foam cleanser by Etude House. Not sure if it's suitable for sensitive skin!

They wrote the ingredients in English! No parabens! I think those micro peeling beads are the Myristic Acid. Not sure though! Stearic Acid - something a lot of cleansers have - helps with deep cleansing the pores. I can't analyze every single ingredient but Sodium Benzoate is the Preservative instead of parabens. Methylaparaben and other ingredients that end with -paraben are known to cause breast cancer and I wouldn't recommend products with that ingredient to any body. Sodium Benzoate is something that Etude put in this product instead of  -Parabens! If you see any "bad" chemical in it feel free to point it out.

The variations of the Happy Fresh Foam cleanser: (what they are used for is based on research done by me)
[Update] Taken from The Certified Latebloomer Post :
  • Essential Collagen (Firming, smoothing and moisturizing)
  • Essential Hyaluronic Acid (Holding moisture, Anti-wrinkle and Anti-aging) 40% Moisturizers
  • Essential Vitamin C (Brightening, Vitamin C, exfoliates and softens)
  • Fresh Witch Hazel (Pore Astringent and 10% Sebum absorption)
  • Fresh White Clay (Oil Control and 10% Sebum absorption)
I hope the above helped you to choose which of the cleanser is suitable for you because it's a bit unclear since there is nothing written in the description of the online shops I came across. They don't tell you which one is for what. The above are based on research done by me.

There are so many variations of this product that's impossible for someone not to find one or more cleansers suitable for them. For example I use two different cleansers daily. One for my oil and pores and one for acne and oil! My skin is always busy!

I will definitely repurchase and there is nothing wrong with this product in my opinion. It works great for my skin!

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions, Thank you for reading!

|Lioele| Cheek Beam Blusher PitchPink Review and Swatch

This time I decided to review a cream blush by Lioele. Texture is very soft and creamy. The colour is a warm pink. My skintone is pale with yellow undertones. It looks a boring pink in the container but it looks happy warm pink after application! I wasn't very excited first time I saw it but I decided to give it a try. Seeing that I'm lacking in blushers.

Here are two photos of it. The first one is under white light and the other in the shadow. It really depends on the lighting. This blush tends to seem different under different lights.

Something that's not very visible before application is the glitter and sparkles in it!

I picked a huge amount on my finger for the swatch but in the next two photos is just a small amount that I spread on my skin. It looks pretty sheer with glitter at first but it turned brighter and stronger after a few minutes.

I overall like this blusher and I'm very happy about the texture! Really soft and creamy!

Have you ever tried this shade or different of the Cheek Beam blushers by Lioele?

Thank you for reading!

September Favorites - 2012

I have been using a lot of products the past month but these are my favorites that I have been using again and again. Also I believe I didn't use the Moistfull Collagen Eye cream all that many times but I thought I'd include because it's really good and I saw results after a few uses! I couldn't make a video about my September Favorites because I'm sick.

So My favorites are:

Beauty
  • Verve Eyeshadow by Urban Decay - A nice silvery shimmery eye shadow!
Skin Care
  • Happy fresh foam Witch Hazel 30% by Etude House - For oily skin with Black heads! It's a really cleansing foam cleanser, you only need a little bit every time since it seems compressed.
  • Collagen moistfull Eye Cream by Etude House - Eye firming cream which it made a difference on the lines under my eyes after every use!
  • Sun Protect Lip Butter SPF30 by Liposan - Moisturizing lip butter with SPF because our lips need sun protections too!
Nails
  • Petit Nails PK015 by Etude House - A nice nude peachy pink shimmery nail polish, perfect for Autumn!
Hair
  • Intense Repair Shampoo by Dove - High moisture shampoo, makes my hair soft and shiny. It also treated my dandruff which is weird! I leave my hair to just dry without using hair dryer during the summer and this shampoo just didn't give me any dandruff but my dandruff came back I after I dried my hair with the hair dryer :(
iPhone App
  • KawaiiMEGU - It's a pet game from Japan but it also has an English version! I really love it! Check it out!
Music
  • Wide Awake by Katy Perry - I usually listen to J-pop and K-pop but I really liked Katy's new song Wide Awake, from her latest album The Complete Confection. The album doesn't have new songs apart from a couple of remixes and this one!

Soo that was all my favorites for September, I hope you like it and feel free to post your September favorites with a comment below!
